More Pictures

Bathtime:

Bad hair day:

The last two mornings, Caleb has awakened us at 5:45am and 5:10am. We are not thrilled about this alarm clock and are not sure what's going on with him. The first morning he was hungry since he didn't eat much for dinner, but I don't know what happened today.

Caleb loves that Elmo and Big Bird are on his diapers. Looking at them on a clean diaper keeps him occupied while I'm trying to change him. We were in the bathroom earlier and he saw one of his diapers in the trash. He said, "Elmo?" I said, "Yes, Elmo is on your diaper." Then he bent over to try to look at Elmo on the diaper he was wearing, but the clothes blocked his view. It was cute! Posted by Picasa

Yummy yogurt!:

Notice the spoon in one hand while his other hand is covered in yogurt:

We have definitely reached "toddlerhood" at our house! Caleb is going to time out for hitting and telling us, "No,No!" When he doesn't get his way, he gets pretty angry. Fun times. :-) Posted by Picasa

Were You Wondering If I'd Ever Update This Blog Again?

I know it's been a long time since I posted anything on here; you guys have probably been looking at those Christmas pictures wondering if I would ever get around to posting anything new.

Well...a lot has happened in the last month. Caleb has been sick a couple of times and we learned through one of these times that he has asthma. So, now our daily routine includes giving him at least one inhaler twice a day. If he's bad, he gets two. He's not a big fan of the inhaler, especially the one that tastes bad in his mouth! But the more he screams, the deeper the medicine goes. It's better than when he tries to hold his breath!

Caleb's Mimi and Grandad both visited us from New Mexico this month. He was so excited to spend time with both of them! He calls his Grandad "Da Da." It's cute. I think maybe he knows they don't live in the computer now! (We all have webcams.)

Caleb's cousin, Ava Grace, was born last Friday. When she gets out of NICU and Caleb can actually see her, we'll take lots of pictures of the two of them. See Ava's blog for updates and pictures of her.

It's Been a While...

I haven't posted on this blog in a while. So much has happened since I did. Caleb got over the virus/ear infection right before Christmas. At his 15-month check-up, he was doing well. He had lost weight from the virus, but he's right on target with all his measurements. The doc said he still had fluid around his ear and hoped it did not become infected again. Great, thanks!

We spent Christmas with my side of the family this year, and Caleb had a good time. He didn't really understand the whole thing, but liked opening his presents. He got a wagon from his Mimi, a Little Start Leap Pad from his Grandma and Poppa, a Tonka truck from Uncle Kurt and Aunt Kiki, a stuffed Elmo from us, plus tons of books from all (this is an abbreviated list...despite my best efforts to thwart the bombardment of gifts, Caleb was spoiled once again by his whole family).

Caleb wasn't sick over Christmas, but he did cut 3 teeth in the last couple of weeks, including his 1-year molars.

This past weekend he's been down with a stomach virus. Thankfully, he did not get a bad case of it and it almost back to normal. He managed to throw up on both his daddy and me! :-)

Then, yesterday he managed to burn his finger and then slice another finger on a can he got out of the garbage. If I don't keep my eyes on his every.single.minute, he's into something! He's definitely ALL BOY!

It's funny when we're around other people (like family who don't see him every day) because they say things like, "He never stops moving, does he?" Nope. Yesterday hubby even said, "I don't know how you manage him all day long every day." It's not always easy. I have to be on my guard at all times! He's a mover.

Well, that about catches you up on how Caleb's doing. He just woke up, so I'd better run get him and feed him breakfast.
